Round table discussion on “Perspectives of Popularising Russian Language India”( Круглый стол «Перспективы распространения русского языка в Индии) was chaired by the Head of the Co-ordination Departments of the Russian Centres of Science and Culture in India Dr.Tatyana Perova. Prof. Govindan Nair, former Head of the Russian Language Department, University of Kerala and presently working as the Head of the Pushkin Centre for Russian Language in Trivandrum and Prof.Vinay Thotawar, Head of the Russian Language Department of the English and Foreign Languages University in Hyderabad etc. also led the discussion. All the speakers expressed positive views regarding the future of teaching Russian Language in India. But they shared a common opinion about the lack of supporting materials. Dr.Tatyana Perova introduced a new text book brought by Delhi based Goyal Publication which is titled DOROGA RUSSIYU. Participants said that The Russian Language Festival held last year was useful and helped them to follow common study materials.

 

 

 

 

 

Master Class Using audio-visual materials in the class room

Master class “Usage of audio-visual materials in the class room”(Мастер-класс «Использование аудио-визуальных учебных комплексов в аудитории) followed the round table discussion. Prof.Harish Kumar Vijra from Hyderabad Universty, Prof.Dubey Dasgupta from Baroda University and Ms.Anastasia Shmidt from Chennai Russian Centre participated. Prof.Harish Kumar Vijra explained the usage of audio- visual materials with power point presentation. Prof.Dubey Dasgupta pointed out that new technology should be rightly used to teach Russian Language Ms.Anastasia Shmidt appreciated the Pushkin Institute at the Russian Centre in Trivandrum for organizing virtual Russian Language Class via satellite. The Centre could make it possible with the support of the Education Department of Kerala Government.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

17-10-2012 Lecture- presentation on contemporary method of teaching Russian Language as Foreign language

Lecture presentation on contemporary method of teaching Russian Language as Foreign language (Лекция-презентация о современных методах преподавания русского языка как иностранного ) was held on 17 OctoberProf.Gajanan , Head of the Department of Russian, Mysore University , Prof. Mheswran Nair, and Dr.Sam Ebenezir of the Pushkin Centreof Language chaired the presidium. The Russian language teachers said that after the first Russian Language Festival. They got an opportunity to use internet for teaching Russian Language. The CDs and other audio visual materials were useful to teach Russian during 2011-2012. The Russian Language Teachers decided to write to the concerned authorities to provide more audio visual materials enabling the teachers to teach Russian easily.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lecture –presentation “Russian Language for tourism and business”

Lecture –presentation “ Russian Language for tourism and business (Лекция-презентация «Русский язык для туризма и бизнеса) was organised after the Lecture presentation on contemporary method of teaching Russian Language as Foreign language Prof.Gajananan, DrS.Anilkumar and Dr.Boban were in the presidium. Most of the participants especially from other parts of India thanked the Russian Language Centre in Trivandrum for introducing special curriculum for teaching Russian. During the 1st Festival of Russian Language and Literature which was held last year teachers from Trivandrum shared there experience in teaching Russian for the staff of hotels and resorts that host Russian tourists. The participants who attended both the First and Second Festivals unanimously acknowledged the benefit of the previous year’s discussion in promoting Tourism related Russian language teaching. Dr.Anilkumar of the Pushkin Centre of Russian Language introduced new hand out (small teaching materials) for Tourism related Russian Language teaching.
